As a result of our letter writing campaign and efforts on behalf of our client, she has recieved her first child support check for $200. She also has a court date to get her case revised and improved.

I am also currently working on getting her brother a new trial in Texas based on with held evidence.

Inspiring Letter from Pastor Harnage to Anonymous Client

This is a letter to one of our clients from Pastor Harnage:

Your story of 20 years reminds me of the Jew's oppression at the hands of the Egyptians when God sent Moses to them with a message. Exodus 3:7 "...I have seen the affliction of my people...and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters...for i know their sorrows and I am come down to deliver them out...and bring them up...unto a good land and a large...the cry of the children is come unto me...and I have seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them with. verses 7-10.

God has seen yours and your husband's sorrows. God has heard your cries. He has seen how you have been hard timed and oppressed by people who are jealous of you, your lives, your happiness, your stand, and your success. God has sent before you a wind to prepare a way for triumph for you and the kids. It is not for us to understand the why. It is for us to know that God is in control regardless of what it looks like.

By faith, you, your husband, and Carolyn ( my sife of 32 years) and i agree together on God's promises in Acts 16:31...and thou shalt be saved and thy house." When Satan has accosted us and our house, children, home, job, sickness, or otherwise I keep remembering the promises of God where He promised me my house.

I am ready for deliverance and victory for my house and your house and other's homes who are trusting God in the middle of the storm.

Again, let's agree on the Word which is the will of God that says...Peace, be still." (Jesus).

In Jesus' name we speak peace, be still to this storm while God works. We speak a word of faith and ask god to give you your house and all that is therein from the front post to the back post from one side to the other and that God, in Jesus' name give you double for your trouble!" Amen. I feel the presence of the Lord through this keyboard right now.

Let's agree and believe God. We claim those kids, your safety, that God melt hearts and those who are hiding behind doors that God expose them like only he knows how.

Here are other promises we want to hold onto, agree with, and spek by faith. There are so many but here a few. We are believing God with you for a total and monumental victory. Let's just take a moment and worship God and praise Him for being God. Amen.

Jeremiah 32:27. Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?"

Isaiah 41: 10-20. All those who were inflamed against you shall be embarrassed, ashamed, and frustrated and they will be as nothing. Those who strive with you will persih.. Those who war with you shall be as nothing. You will seek them and not find them.

Isaiah 53:4. Do not fear. FOr you will not be ashamed. You will not become frustrated. You will forget the shame of your youth and you will not remember your widowhood any longer.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health

Canada, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary

recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled

products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

 

Name of Product: Folding Toy Beach Chair for Stuffed Animals

 

Units: About 260,000 chairs in the United States and 9,700 in Canada

 

Importer: Build-A-Bear Workshop(r), of St. Louis, Mo.

 

Hazard: This toy chair legs can bruise, pinch or cut fingers if caught while

folding.

 

Incidents/Injuries: There have been eight injuries reported.

 

Description: This recall involves a wood frame, canvas seat, toy beach chair for

stuffed animals. Some styles include an attached pillow. The toy chairs are blue

(style #'s 002281, 004463, 009907, 011565, 102281, 109907, 111565), red (style

#'s 007391, 011566, 107391, 111566), fuchsia/white stripe (style #'s 013226,

113226), Orange/white stripe (style #'s 013227, 113227).

 

Sold by: Build-A-Bear Workshop stores nationwide and online at

www.buildabear.com from March 2001 through October 2008 for about $8 in the US

and from March 2003 through October 2008 in for about $10 in Canada.

Remedy: Return the toy beach chair to any Build-A-Bear Workshop store to receive

an $8 USD/$10 CDN store coupon. If it is not possible to return the toy chair to

From Bitter to Better

Our Personal Relationship with S.T.O.P.

My personal message:

I first consulted with S.T.O.P. about 5 years or so ago when E coli broke out in greens and green beans. My extensive background and experience in agriculture as well as being at the time a Certified Crop Advisor through the American Society of Agronomy, gave me first hand looks at the critical points where food safety was an eyesore. S.T.O.P. was an inspiration and a lighthouse to me in helping me report through the proper channels and authorities, the absence of Best Management Practices in soil amendments that included spreading manure and untreated human sludge and waste on crops in the Southeast as a cheap soil amendment or fertilizer. Changes were eventually made, but shortly after that food safety was about to get personal. One of our granddaughters became deathly ill at home after having dined with our daughter and youngest granddaughter at a fast food restaurant. Taylor, only 2 years old at the time, began vomiting at home. A few hours later she began to bleed severely through her bowels and her stool was watery. That night she was rushed to the hospital where she was critically dehydrated and placed on intravenous fluids. The end of the next day the doctor at South Georgia Medical Center said she had food poisoning.  We prayed, we cried, we encouraged our daughter and tried to comfort Taylor. She cried for us to hold her. We were fortunate to not lose Taylor but she was hospitalized for close to a week. She couldn't understand the tubes in her little arms and we cried with her as she screamed as they punctured her little hands and feet with needles. She couldn't understand any of this and nor could we. We were hurting for Taylor and at the same time furious that someone had done this inhumane act to our baby. I had established a prior relationship with S.T.O.P. so I sent an email to the organization. They guided me through the maze of how to approach this incident with authorities. S.T.O.P. never left us hanging alone and assured us of their prayers and concern. Later, through our health agency, it was determined that others had become sick after eating at the same fast food establishment where it was found that the burgers were undercooked. Taylor was blessed to come out of the ordeal but she will tell you today when we pull up to a drive through not to eat the burgers. That's the mark she is left with. As if one time weren't enough, a couple of years ago our youngest granddaughter, Aubrey,  ate at a fast food establishment and had a similar experience, but not quite as severe as her sister. Aubrey was taken to the emergency room at South Georgia Medical Center, treated for mild food poisoning and sent home. She was so sick for several days. Again, using the lessons learned through the last ordeal and lessons learned from S.T.O.P.  we found out that several other children and adults had also suffered food poisoning at after eating at this particular establishment. There was an investigation by the county health service and the fast food establishment was shut down for a week. Carolyn and I have a prayer ministry that reaches from Texas to North Carolina. It is called EMinistry because persons with prayer requests and life issues can email us. We have a large group of partners who assist with the large list of prayer requests. Every time Silent Ministries/BADD receives a food alert I forward it to our members and many of them have become members of S.T.O.P through realizing S.T.O.P.'s impact and importance to their families. We love S.T.O.P. and we pray for the organization and the victims and families they support each and everyday. But prayers aren't all S.T.O.P. needs. They need your help. Psychology of Abuse

Secure attachment in childhood nurtures social competence. When circumstances prevent a child from forming attachments, they are often withdrawn, frightened or even speechless. These affects can last into adulthood. Serious emotion scars will be present for the remainder of their life.

This is often the case with abused children, such as those who have been raised in a home or location where there is little stimulation and attention from their primary caregiver. In worse situations it may be actual extreme neglect and emotional, physical or sexual abuse.

Often into adulthood the emotional scars represent themselves in either fear or aggression. It often causes issues with partnering. Some abuse victims who have children will often feel neglectful and/or abusive to their young.

The unloved become unloving. Most parents, who have abused their children, will admit to being abused themselves. Many inmates convicted of violent crimes or murder will also confess to being abused in childhood.

Does this mean that today's victim is tomorrow's victimizer? No, it is not always that. As a matter of fact, if the abuse was isolated to early childhood, children who are abused are more likely to not become abusive or turn into violent criminals. They have the opportunity to become normal adults. However, treatment of emotional scars is necessary and the isolation from the abuse must take place in early years. The older the child is when being abused, the longer it will take to recover… possibly causing issues in adulthood.

Young children who are terrorized by physical abuse often suffer from symptoms such as nightmares, depression, eating disorders, substance abuse or aggression. Sexual abuse if severe and prolonged, place children at risk for health problems, psychological disorders substance abuse and criminality.

 

Children are generally very resilient, however when extreme childhood trauma is experienced, permanent footprints can be left on the brain. When repeatedly threatened, causing a fear response in the body, the brain chemical of serotonin (which calms aggressive impulses) is made sluggish. The brain literally produces less natural aggression calming chemicals from repeated fear experiences. This is what causes aggressive teens and/or adults.

"Stress can set off a ripple of hormonal changes that permanently wire a child's brain to cope with a wicked world," said researcher Martin Teicher (2002).

Psychological research shows that twins (with the same genes, same parents, and same habitat) will grow up substantially different if one is abused and one is not. The twin, who has suffered sexual abuse including intercourse, has greater risk of depression, anxiety and substance abuse than their twin.

Although child abuse increases the risk of depression, many abused people do not suffer from depression and most depressed people have not been sexually abused.

There is a chance for a normal life for those who have abused as children or adults, but you must act now!! Take the steps needed to improve the life of someone abused now… you might be their only chance at living unaffected.

Inc. (REI), of Kent, Wash.

 

Hazard: The hinge on the handlepost can crack, posing a fall hazard.

 

Incidents/Injuries: There have been 25 reports of the handlepost hinge on these

bicycles cracking, including one minor injury involving scrapes and bruises.

 

Description: This recall involves model year 2008 Dahon and REI Novara folding

bicycles. The models included in the recall are as follows:

 

Dahon Ciao P8, Curve D3, Curve SL, Glide P8, Jetstream P8, Mu P8,

Mu P24, MU SL, Mu XL Sport, Vitesse D7 HG, Speed D7,

Speed P8, Speed TR, Speed Pro TT, Mariner D7

REI Novara Buzz FlyBy and FlyBy Shuttle

 

The words "Dahon" or "Novara" and the model name are printed on the bicycle.

Hinges with an "R" embossed on the face of the upper handlepost hinge and/or a "Radius Handlepost" sticker on the handlepost are not included in the recall.

 

Sold by: Authorized Dahon California dealers and REI stores nationwide from

March 2008 through April 2009 for between $430 and $1,300.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop riding these bicycles and contact any

Dahon California dealer or REI store for a free inspection and repair.
